Membership Categories & Dues Structure

Steel Companies
Includes steel producers and services centers who supply iron or steel as a base metal for porcelain enameling.
Dues - Based on the volume of iron or steel tonnage sold the previous year for enameling according to the following schedule:
Annual Sales - Tons Dues
Sales of 50,000 tons or over $6,850
Sales of 49,999 to 10,001 $5,250
Sales of 10,000 tons or less $2,625
Service Centers $2,625

Enamellers
      A. Appliances
Includes companies with porcelain enameling facilities whose principal business is the production and sale of finished products, some or all of which use porcelain enamel. Such companies are concerned primarily with the sale of their manufactured products and are not engaged in the sale of P/E finishing services for others.
Dues - Payment shall be computed on the total number of employees engaged in the porcelain enameling finishing operations, including the metal preparation, porcelain enamel processing, control and inspection including supervisory personnel, but not including the fabrication of the metal or assembly of the finished parts. Actual dues should be calculated on the basis of $20 per employee. Minimum payment is $2,100 per year and maximum is $3,360.
      B. All other Enamellers
Includes companies whose primary business interest with porcelain enameling facilities is in the production/finishing of parts or products. They may provide contract or general enameling services for others.
Dues - Payment based on previous year sales.

Sales of $15,000,000 to $29,999,999 $3,150
Sales of $5,000,000 to $14,999,999 $2,625
Sales of less than $5,000,000 $2,100

Supplier (Chemical to end user) Dues
Flat Fee $1,575

Supplier (Suppliers of Raw Materials other than Frit or Base Metals)
Includes suppliers of all materials, equipment or services to the porcelain enamel industry except for frit and base metals.
Dues
Flat Fee $3,700

Supplier (Equipment)
Dues - Based upon the Company's dollar sales volume sold to the Porcelain Enamel Industry. Based on previous year:

Sales over $1,000,000 $3,700
Sales of $500,000 to $999,999 $2,625
Sales of $499,999 or less $1,575

Supplier (Frit Manufacturing)
Includes companies that supply frit to the porcelain enamel industry.
Annual Sales Dues
Sales of $10,000,000 or over $36,000
Sales of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000 $24,000
Sales of less than $5,000,000 $6,000

Companies Not Currently Listed for Membership in Other Categories
Includes companies that are not otherwise eligible for membership but demonstrate substantial interest and involvement in the advancement of the porcelain enamel industry.
Dues
Flat Fee $1,050

International Associate
(Companies Meeting Active Membership Requirements Based Outside North America
)
Includes companies located outside North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that manufacture porcelain enamel products of components or manufacture equipment of supplies used in porcelain enameling.

Dues - Calculated on the same basis for comparable companies located within NAFTA. The actual dues amount is 50% of the amount shown in the category for the regular dues of NAFTA companies.
